The Plant Sale was very successful this year. I do not have a final total, but it appears to be in line with last year’s

figures.

Another successful project was the Outdoor Classroom. The primary reason for the success of this program was the tireless effort of Kanawha County’s new WVU Extension Agent Kari Mazzaferro. A huge THANK YOU needs to go to everyone who volunteered their hard work on both events.

Kanawha County will be hosting the 2008 West Virginia Master Gardener Conference. Anyone who would like to volunteer to help organize this event, please contact Leslie Fitzwater. She will be organizing a committee to plan this conference.

The Kanawha County Fair has been canceled this year. In past years, the KCMGA has sponsored a booth at this event.

Another upcoming event is the Kanawha County Library Book Fair in October at the Civic Center. The KCMGA will be sponsoring a speaker this year. I will have more details at the next quarterly meeting in August. Please plan on attending.
